This page is the future site of the memoir film "Drink Cry Fuck" , due for release Jan 2010, and the daily blog of filmmaker Kat Eiswald's return to Argentina to get closure, and release forms, from the participants of her document.
I was a promising filmmaker in an unhappy marriage in 2003, when I first went to Argentina to attend the International Tango Congress of Buenos Aires. In less than a week, my life was complete turned upside down, both good and bad, and never to be the same again.
It took several more trips, and 7 years, to fully digest the events of 2003. For several years, I was confident that I would never do anything with the 60+ hours of footage I shot in Buenos Aires between 2003-2006. This included rare interviews of family and friends of Astor Piazzolla, and a view of Buenos Aires during a time of great upheaval when the city was inundated with demonstrations, daily, for several years.
Before September 2010, I will have a kickstarter project online. For all donors, I will be providing access to a private daily blog, when I return to Buenos Aires.
